Steve Marshall
Position: Director
With nearly 40 years of construction experience, Steve was appointed as VolkerMarine Services and VolkerSite Services director in 2018. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors and has significant experience in managing frameworks and complex multi-disciplinary schemes in various sectors across the UK. He has 20 years of experience managing complex marine projects delivered throughout the UK.
Steve leads and manages the VolkerMarine Services team, overseeing projects to ensure that objectives are clearly defined, agreed and delivered safely within the time, cost, sustainability and quality constraints.
He was a board member of the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (NE) for 10 years, and was chairman in 2016/17.
James Abdous
Position: Accommodation Manager
James joined the VolkerSite Services team in 2016, with a BEng (Hons) Construction Project Management degree. James worked in the VolkerBrooks precast team for a year before becoming accommodation manager in 2017. Through this role, he manages all trades and site operations within the accommodation department, develops safe and strategic working methods, and provides technical support throughout the operation of all accommodation projects.
James, who has also achieved his EngTech MICE qualification through ICE, is an enthusiastic and results driven individual who is committed to providing the highest level of service through developing and maintaining trusted customer relationships.
Jonathan Archer
Position: Installation Manager
Jonathan has extensive civil engineering experience and a long history working within the VolkerStevin group. Jonathan first joined the business in 2006 as an apprentice joiner, and over the past 15 years has worked in numerous roles across the business. He joined the VolkerBrooks team in 2018 as project engineer and estimator, before moving to his current role in the accommodation department in 2019.
Through his role as installation manager, Jonathan manages the logistics of accommodation set ups for a range of projects across the UK.
